Folks who would like to enjoy the space offered by Camp El, but don’t wish to apply for a residency, are welcome to stay with us year round through our artbnb. With stays available at a sliding scale, our artbnb helps us keep our retreat program completely free. Maine offers a diverse landscape and a variety of outdoor activities ranging from kayaking to mountain climbing, and from stargazing to fishing. All of this in less than an hour’s drive of Camp El. Rates + Policies

Sliding Scale

Camp El’s artbnb visitors pay at a sliding scale. Your payment helps us keep our Artist Retreat completely cost-free for participants. Please pay what you can. Visitors may choose to pay $50, $75, or $100 per night for one person.

Additional Fees

• Additional Guest: $10 per guest / per night up to a maximum of four total guests
• Pet Fee: $25 per pet
• Cleaning fee: $10

7+ Day Rate

• Year-round weekly: $300/week. Heat + utilities included
• May 1 -December 15 Monthly Rate: $800/month. Heat + utilities included
• December 15-April 30 Monthly Rate: $1000/month. Heat + utilities included

Sleeping Arrangements (click here for more info on the space)

• 1-bedroom full-sized bed with two closets with hangers and one six-drawer dresser

• 1 full sofa/futon in living room

• 1 studio with laptop-friendly desk and 1 closet (note: this room can flex as a twin sleeping space, but must be prepared in advance. Please let us know your needs.)

Pet policy

Well-behaved, immunized pets are welcome for a few of $25. Note, while they are not at large, there are other animals on the property.
